What does it mean to be a church that truly invests in the next generation? In this message, we explore the idea of a 'next-gen culture' rooted in the early church of Acts chapter 2, where the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was never meant to be limited to a select few. Drawing from the prophet Joel's words quoted by Peter, we are reminded that sons and daughters, young and old, servants and leaders alike are all included in God's vision for Spirit-empowered living. The message draws a striking contrast between the generation that witnessed the miracles of the Exodus and yet failed to pass their faith on, as described in Judges 2:10, and the urgent call we have today to make sure the next generation does not grow up without knowing the works of God. We are challenged to see the potential in young people not as a future investment but as a present reality, because there is no junior Holy Spirit. The same power available to the early church is available to us now, and it is meant to flow through every generation without exception.
